Born in Dallas, TX on September 30, 1929, she is survived by son David (Carla) and daughter Carol (Keith), two grandsons Doak (Taylor) and Carson (Madison), granddaughter Megan Theissen (Ryan), brother Larry (JoAnn), three great grandchildren Josie Parks, Elle Parks, and soon to make his arrival, Parker Theissen, and numerous special nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband of 65 years, Roland F. Parks, parents Earl Watkins and Azalia Swartwood Watkins, sister Juanita J Watkins Throneberry, and brothers Earl Jr., George, and Joe.
She faithfully taught Sunday School for many years at Second Baptist Church in Dallas. She worked at the dental office of Dr. Richard L. Dodson for 55 years as both a dental assistant and office manager.
Contributions in Wanda’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Dallas or The American Cancer Society.
A visitation for Wanda will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, July 28, 2025 followed by a memorial service in celebration of her life at 2:00PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, TX 75228.
