Loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend Warren passed on July 11th at the age of 78 into the arms of The Father. Born to Bernice and Emerson Robbins in Elmhurst, Illinois, Warren graduated from Culver Stockton College in Canton, MO and married Barbara Brose in LaGrange, MO in 1959. Retiring from Shell Oil Co. in 1989 at 52 years of age allowed Warren to pursue his passions for volunteering and spending time with family. He actively supported Meals on Wheels, Senior Source, teaching adult ESL classes, and reading with children. Being disciplined and focused changed to nurturing and adoring upon the arrival of his grandchildren. He participated in and strongly influenced the lives of his 4 grandchildren, never missing one of their many sporting or milestone events, as well as providing a strong Christian influence. Additionally, teaching each of them to drive – initially in his golf cart and then progressing to vehicles. He and Barb also enjoyed travelling, boating and spending time at their lake house. Warren cherished lifelong friendships that included college classmates, fraternity brothers, co-workers from Shell, fellow church members and neighbors. He and Barb were longtime members of John Calvin Presbyterian Church, where Warren served as an Elder, and currently Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Warren is survived by Barbara, his wife of 57 years; son Craig A. Robbins and wife Lori; daughter Shelley R. St.Clair and husband John; grandchildren Diana Robbins, Kevin Robbins, Rusty St.Clair, and Randy St.Clair; sister June Coleman and numerous nieces, nephews and family members. Warren was preceded in death by his parents. A special “thank you” to the caregivers and Hospice nurses that helped care for him during his fight with pancreatic cancer. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in the Wynne Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to U.T. Southwestern Cancer Research.
