William “Spot” Spotwood, of Glenn Heights passed away in the evening of Sunday, January 17, 2016, he was 43. Spot was born on September 1, 1972 to William R. Spotwood, and Gail (Somers) Spotwood in Dallas, TX. Spot went to the Dallas schools, finishing up at Justin F. Kimball High School where he played football and baseball for the Kimball Knights.
He loved music, and performed as an amateur DJ at some clubs and parties in the mid-80’s. He loved football, more importantly the Dallas Cowboys. He was very handy and could fix most anything, which led to his career working as an installer working for Texas Sound and Security, installing stereo systems and security alarms on cars and trucks. He even owned Spot’s Accessories in Oak Cliff. He got his biggest joy out of his only grandson, “Big Man”.
Spot is survived by his mother, Gail (Somer) Spotwood, the mother of his children, Kisha Spotwood, one daughter, Ieisha Spotwood, one son, William “Spot, Jr.” Spotwood, Jr., one brother, Scott Harris, one sister Susan Harris, and one grandson, Jailon “Big Man” Spotwood. He is also survived by his brother from another mother, Craig “C Ware” Ware, and a host of family and friends. He is predeceased by his father, William Ralph Spotwood.
