

He attended elementary school in Ft. Worth, J.L. Long Middle School and Woodrow Wilson High School, both in Dallas, and Woodrow was where he met his wife, Nadine. They were married in 1955, and moved to Mesquite, where they raised their family, before Nadine preceded him in death.
They were blessed with four children, daughter Connie Lynn Hurley, daughter Paula Reneé Howell and husband Thomas, son Anthony Wayne Willis, and son Warren Mark Willis; grandchildren, Chad Hurley, Jake and Jeff Howell, Jerad Willis, and L.A. Wickham; ten great-grandchildren; and he is also survived by his brother, Wendell Dana Willis; as well as many extended family members and friends.
William will be remembered for his great sense of humor – he had a line for everything! He loved to spend time fishing and boating, as well as with his hot rods and motorcycles. He was a member of the National Streetrod Association for many years. During his career, William worked for Dr. Pepper, and Steakley Chevrolet, before moving to Friendly Chevrolet, where he worked for over 20 years. He then went to Quality Cars before opening his own professional garage door service with his son.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 9:30 -10:15am at Grove Hill Funeral Home, and will be followed by Graveside Funeral Services at 10:30am at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
