It’s been such a long time since I had seen or talked to her. This is upsetting that she isn’t with us here anymore. I thought I always had time to go and search for old friends. Im in deep regret I won’t be able to talk to her again.  She really was such a good and caring person. Highly positive and courageous. Someone l admired. She will be very missed and always loved. 

It has been over 20 years since I worked with Yolanda at the Sheriffs Department. We lost touch and I had been unable to find her. She was on my mind today so I tried doing another search for her and I saw this and was devastated. We had so much fun together and she was always so nice. I never saw her without a smile on her face. She always treated everyone she met with such high regard and I asked her how she was always able to stay positive and be so nice all of the time. I remember her telling me that her mom told her to always treat everyone with respect and to love everyone the same. She was always a bright light and only wanted the best for everyone. I thank her from the bottom of my heart for being a special friend and role model and making a lasting impact on my life.

You were such a beautiful person and a really beautiful baby.  I remember when you were born, I fell in love with my baby cousin!  So much so that I begged my mom to let me name my baby sister after you. We will miss you but always love you. May you rest in His arms now!

I’m surely goin to miss u my friend & sister wow!! I still can not believe this I am still in shock about the whole thing. I will never forget us spending our Birthdays together and celebrating u truly are a blessing to have as a friend & sister. It wasn’t a coincidence that we met and became good friends because we were so much alike..... I will truly truly miss u, I’m sorry for not huggin u, & gettin to tell u how much I love u when u were here! Until we see each other in heaven my beautiful sister,  I know we will!! It’s not good bye, it’s I’ll see u later!!! <3

My heart goes out to the Lafayette family friends and coworkers.  Days like this is one of the hardest.  I pray for the will of God to lift your spirits ease your mind and comfort you. Physically I am not there but in spirit I am. so as this day end and your tomorrow begins know that God is with you. I love each and every one.

Lafayette was a beautiful person inside and out she always treated me with kindness and respect. Lafayette and I worked the Bond Desk at the Sheriff's Department on different shifts. She was the only person on her shift that would offer to help you complete your work so you could go home. I always thanked her for being so thoughtful and considerate.  I will miss her especially her beautiful smile. May she Rest in Heaven.

Such a sweet and kind person gone to soon fly high sweet angel and shine down on those who care love and miss you but hold good memories. Glad I got the chance to meet you, you will be missed dearly. May you rest in paradise. My condolences to the family.
