Yolonda Nicole Elliott

Yolonda Nicole Buford Elliott was the older of two daughters. She was born October 27, 1977 to Donald & Marcella Buford in Omaha, Nebraska. They later moved to Carrollton,TX where she grew up. The Lord called her to eternal rest on the night of Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

Yolonda professed hope in Christ at an early age. She graduated from W.T. White High School in Dallas, TX in 1996. She attended college at The University of Texas at Austin where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2001. Yolonda was working as Client Relationship Manager for Venture Solutions.

Yolonda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, S. T. & Marvill Hunt of McLemoresville, TN., and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Mary Buford of Milwaukee, WI.

Yolonda was united in holy matrimony to her high school sweetheart, Mr. John Elliott on September 21, 2002. She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband of 10 years who will always hold her in his heart. She leaves her parents, Donald & Marcella Buford, Carrollton, TX; her younger loving sister Brianna Buford of Carrollton, TX; her grandfather, Paul Buford, Milwaukee, WI; a mother-in-law, Mrs. Sharon Elliott of Dallas, TX; two brothers-in-law Josh Elliott and Jack (Kathryn) Elliott, both of Dallas, TX as well as one niece and goddaughter, Paige Elliott; Godmothers; Aunt Laurine Rutherford and Aunt Pinkey Buford, both of Milwaukee, WI and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Yolonda was a loving, kind and generous young woman. She had such a beautiful spirit about her, a lovely smile and a special laugh. She loved to travel, shop, eat a variety of foods, watch movies, and enjoyed spending time with her husband, parents, sister and other family and friends. She will surely be loved and missed by everyone.
