

Yrma Montano de Garcia, also known by her Hebrew name Eliana Alizah bat Tirza, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the age of 100 surrounded by family in Plano, Texas. She was born on October 20, 1925, and made this world better for 36,562 days!
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter whose life was defined by unwavering love and faith in G-d. Yrma recited the Book of Psalms daily with her favorites being Psalms 91 and 121. Yrma was the heart of her large and close-knit family, dedicating her life to raising her children with strength, compassion, with the love G-d, and LOTS of wit & wisdom.
Yrma is survived by her Children: COL David and Valerie Garcia (Ret), Dr. Lillian and Brian Zucker, Joe and Claudia Garcia, Sylvia and Brian Fiorenza, Maria Garcia, and Irma May.
Yrma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Humberto; her daughter, Blanca Bonery; and her son, Jose (Esaias- Papito).
She leaves behind a legacy through her Grandchildren: Austin, Josef and Rachel, Christian, Nathan F. and Rebecca, Mariel and Asaf, Nicholas and Morgan, Blankie and Philip, Joe and Laura, Javier and Samantha, Nathan Z., Andrew, Steven, Daniel, Caroline, Hugo, Juan, and Betty.
Yrma was a cherished great-grandmother to her Great-Grandchildren: Avi, Luca, Rafael, Ilan, Jasmine, Eliyahu, Miles, Anastacia, Stefan, Galilea, Magnolia, Sabrina, Samantha, Izais, Serena, Izaac, Alex, Carlos, Camilla, Juan, Alexandria, Anna, Gabriel, Zoe, Zen, and Zander.
