Albert was born in New York, NY to Makbule and Hilmi Kokalari on September 23, 1938. He was the husband of Barbara (Coyne) Kokalari.
Albert studied mechanical and aeronautical engineering at Syracuse University. He began his career in the Air Force Weapons Laboratory at Sandia National Labs, New Mexico where he worked with nuclear weapons.
After his time in the Air Force, he earned his Master’s of Engineering at the Stevens Institute of Technology, then earned his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He had a long career as an IT executive at Bell Labs and Pepsico.
He had many hobbies including photography, golf, scuba diving, and traveled extensively. He was also a tennis and ski instructor and was active in the Albanian-American community.
Albert is predeceased by his sisters: Drita Kokalari Perkins and Sabet Kokalari Babameto; and brother, Wilson Kokalari.
In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by his son, Michael Kokalari; his daughters: Mary and Jennifer (Ronald Glick) Kokalari, and grandchildren: Shannon and Ava Glick. He is also survived by his sister, Lee Kokalari Oruci; as well as his nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at 11:00am followed by a memorial service at 1:30pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT, with the Rev. Donna Katsuranis, officiating.
