Ana was born on December 18, 1978 at Danbury Hospital. She most recently worked as a business teacher at Stamford High School. Throughout her career, Ana was a union representative, mentor, adult education teacher and administrator. Ana was a devoted wife and avid traveler. She enjoyed visiting new countries, learning about different cultures and experiencing different cuisines.
She is survived by her loving mother, Maria Ramos; her devoted husband Khalil El Boukhari; her caring sister, Rosa Izzo; her niece/goddaughter, Kristen Elizabeth and her son TJ; her nieces Taylor Rose and Tiffany Marie Izzo. She is also survived by her father in-law, Houcine El Boukhari and his wife Saadia of Morocco; her sister in-law, Meriem El Boukhari, her husband Abdou and their children Radia and Riham of Enola, PA . She also leaves behind her uncles, Antonio Ramos and his wife Rosa; Candido Ramos and his wife Olimpia; Fausto Ramos and his wife Teresa; as well as other family members here in the US, Portugal and Morocco. She was predeceased by her father, Manuel Ramos who passed away in 2015 as well as both sets of grandparents.
Ana attended Immaculate High School and graduated from Danbury High School in 1996. Ana went on to get her B.S. in International Business in 2005 from Central Connecticut State University, a Masters degree in Education in 2007 from the University of New Haven and her Sixth year degree in Educational Leadership in 2012 from Central Connecticut State University.
With such tremendous love comes such an immense loss amongst a very special close knit group of cousins and friends whom Ana enjoyed sharing her “words of wisdom” and her special class of shenanigans. Ana was such a presence in everyone’s life. She was bold and beautiful, incredibly loving and always ready to chat and offer advice. She was a no holds barred kind of girl and you always knew where you stood with her. We are incredibly heartbroken beyond words and our lives will never be the same.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, June 14th at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 46 Stone St., Danbury, CT. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
