Dear Barb,
I am very sorry I wasn't able to attend your services. I didn't find out about it until it was too late.  I just wanted to say how sorry I am that your life had to end this way.  I am not sure if there is a heaven but if there is you should be there.  I remember when we were younger and you and my sister Lisa graduated from nursing school. You 2 were the reason I ended up going to computer school and earning my degrees. I really admired you and your accomplishments.  But what I really admired most (and you know this) was your natural beauty inside and out.  You never ever considered yourself pretty or better than anyone, actually I don't think you ever thought about how naturally pretty you really were.  You also know that I had a huge crush on you which I hid for a long time because I never thought that you ever looked at me in that way.  But when we finally talked about it you never once made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable.  For that reason, it only made you more attractive in my eyes.  And even though nothing ever came of it, I always respected you for that.  In closing, I am really sorry that your life had to come to this but life has a way of being very cruel.  
I just hope that heaven accepts you for the real person that you were.  Unfortunately, we have all had our share of the cruel twists that life throws at us.  I just hope that you are in a better place.  You deserve it.

Kath, even though I haven't seen you or Wayne in a long time, you were always both very good people and good to me.  And Mike, I know your son was have a rough time with his health in the midst of all of this.  I just hope he is okay and that you are holding up.  I am sure you are, you have always been tough.  And I haven't forgotten the help you gave me.  I will give things time to calm down in your life and I will stop into the new garage to say hello and offer you anything I can.  I am truly sorry for your entire family for your loss.
