With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Genova—beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend—who left us on May 6, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born on July 25, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, Carol devoted her life to her family. She was the proud and loving mother of five children: Joseph (Viki) Gross, Ronald (Lynn) Gross, Deborah (Mike) Sicuranzo, Donna (Chuck) Valentine and Diane (Carter) Felicissimo.
Carol is survived by her dear brother, Frank Genova as well as fifteen grandchildren: Joseph (Michelle) Pareres, Christopher (Jacqueline) Pareres, Nicholas Gross, Jacqueline (Sam) West, Bernadette (DJ) Vagnini, Theodore Gross, Donna (Dave) DeMilio, Michael (Jennifer) Sicuranzo, Nicole (Hannah) Crouch-Sicuranzo, Mark (Bailey) Sicuranzo, Victoria Valentine, Benedict Valentine, Enzo (Sami) Felicissimo, Gianna Felicissimo and Lilla Felicissimo. She also leaves behind ten cherished great-grandchildren: Christopher, Ryan and Elenore Pareres, Hazel West, Riley and Zoey DeMilio, Camden and Caleb Crouch-Sicuranzo and Olivia and Nolan Sicuranzo.
Also loved by her were her nephews Joseph Genova, Jeffrey and Ira Gross and niece Marni Meyer.
She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband John Fagan and her parents Marie and Joseph Genova.
Carol’s wisdom and unwavering support were the foundation of her family. Her strength guided her children through life’s many challenges, and her love and humor uplifted everyone she met. She was known for her incredible cooking, generosity, and unconditional love.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 12th at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT from 3-7 p.m.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13th at 10:30 am at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, NY followed by burial at The Kensico Cemetery.

Carol will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the love, kindness, and traditions she passed down through generations.
