Carol ( Dunikowski) Ochs, age 77, of Watertown, CT, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2021, at St. Mary Hospital in Waterbury, CT. She was the widow of William H. Ochs III. Carol was born in Danbury on January 8, 1944, the daughter of the late Edward and Lillian (Peck) Dunikowski.
Carol worked as a Child Care Tech upon graduation from the NYC Foundling School at both Danbury and New Milford Hospitals. She was a Bethel resident for nearly 50 years, and upon retirement she and Bill headed to Vermont and Florida as snowbirds. Soon they would be called back to CT as grandchildren came into the family. She enjoyed all her children's and grandchildren's sports, dancing, and shows over the years. Always the biggest cheerleader for them on the sidelines.
Carol is survived by her children, Alicia Craybas (Doug), William (Shannon), and Catherine.
Carol's grandchildren were the apples of her eye, she adored them all. Zachary and Jake Craybas, Ty Housen, Sophia and Billy Ochs, Cassandra Bissett, and Kayla Bower. Carol also leaves behind a brother, Robert, and a sister-in-law, Glenda Saunders
Carol loved her Bingo Buddies, spending time with her neighbors, and would always go out of her way to help someone in need. Carol was always there when you needed her just to talk, listen, or laugh over a cup of coffee.
Calling hours for Carol will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, Connecticut 06810. At the families request, we ask that all attendees please wear face masks and adhere to all social distancing guidelines.
