Catherine Sexton

Catherine E. Sexton, age 61 of Danbury died on Friday December 28th at Laurel Ridge, Ridgefield. Catherine was born May 14, 1951 in Danbury, the daughter of Charlotte (Handrahan) Peters of Danbury and the late Donald M. Peters. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, and was employed as a bus driver for the Danbury Public Schools for over 20 years. Catherine was an avid reader of romance and drama novels, and was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister to her family.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Regional Hospice and Home Care for the exceptional care provided to Catherine throughout her illness. In addition to her mother, Catherine is survived by her daughter Charlene Metzker of Farmington, and her son Kevin Metzker and his wife Tammy of Woodbury, two brothers: Bruce M. Peters of Bethel, and Brian M. Peters and his wife Cheryl of Mount Airy, MD, and one grandson, Kevin Metzker, Jr.

Funeral services will take place at 11:30am on Wednesday January 2, 2013 in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury. Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:30am until the time of the service at 11:30am.
