She was born in Lewiston, Maine on December 11, 1912, daughter of the late Andre and Marie (Brochu) Lemieux. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by seven sisters and three brothers.
She retired from Benrus, Watch Corp. of Ridgefield. She was also the secretary, bookkeeper and co-owner of Modern Driving School in Norwalk with her late husband, Leo.
She loved volunteering for such organizations as Danbury Hospital, Danbury Soup Kitchen and the Red Cross. She also loved her sewing, reading, playing the piano, and going for walks.
She is survived by her sons, Richard and Ronald Veilleux of New Milford, and Bert Veilleux of Ridgefield along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. Inurnment will be at St. Peter Mausoleum at 1:00pm on Monday July 14th at 1pm. Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St. Danbury, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donation of your choice can be made in Cecile's name.
