‘A beautiful woman’
Claire Villa, age 79, of New Fairfield passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 unexpectedly in her home with her husband John Villa by her side. Claire was born May 17, 1938 in Bronx, NY, daughter to the late Elaine and Albert Zenoni.
Claire worked for the Town of New Fairfield as a Bus Driver for many years and owned her own consignment shop. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, she was a creator of wonderful and beautiful things, making soaps for family and friends, she did craft shows, made quilts for not only her family but for the shelters, both animal as well as for those less fortunate, she loved coloring with her great grandchildren and even wrote them books. She was an amazing woman. The glue that held her family together, a best friend, a tender soul, a woman who loved selflessly. A woman who was happy at the end of the day as long as everyone else was. A woman who never gave up, and always knew without having to say a word. A woman who her family never wanted to see sad, hurting or struggling.
We hope that you have found peace and will love you forever.
Claire is survived by her loving and devoted husband, John Villa. She will be missed by her children: Christine Villa, Sherri Gillotti, John Villa and his wife Deborah, Scott Villa and his wife Michelle; preceded by her daughter Toni Ann Villa; her grandchildren: Nikki Morrissey and her Fiancé Terry McVeigh, Jessica Abney and her Fiancé Terrell Lewis, Carli Montini along with her husband Rich, Samantha Villa, Stephanie Villa, Keith Rogers and Joshua Villa, preceded by her grandson Casey Villa; her great grandchildren: Kaylee Morrissey, Miranda Villa, Haleigh Abney, Casey Villa Jr., Mariah Abney, Kaiden Key, Juliannah Abney, Mark Abney, Kenna McVeigh, Dylan Montini; her siblings: Joyce Czudak, Arthur Zenoni.
