

Dorothy Gaboardi, 88, of Danbury, CT , beloved wife of James Gaboardi, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 27, 2016 with her family by her side. Dorothy was born to the late John and Anna Mudry and remained a lifelong Danbury resident graduating from Danbury High School. Mrs. Gaboardi worked in the food services industry for many years as a cafeteria manager and a crossing guard for the town of Danbury.
Dorothy was a member of the Hatters Drum Corps where she met her husband; Danbury Drum Corps and Auxiliary; And the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary. She marched with the Danbury Drum Corps for 5 years in her late 70’s and achieved perfect attendance for all 5 years. Dorothy also enjoyed ceramics, camping on family vacations, and donating blood to the Red Cross Organizations. Most importantly Dorothy loved being around her friends and family. Dorothy is pre deceased by her grandson Steven, 3 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her daughter Debbie and husband Mack Henriques, her son Kevin and wife Linda Gaboardi, and daughter Karen and husband David Kraft. In addition she leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Meghan, Thomas, Eli, Michael, Matthew, Ryan, Sarah as well as her sister Betty Stoorza and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to Frances Small, along with the rest of the employees at Danbury Regional Hospice for their love, care and support.
Family and friends are encouraged to call at The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury CT 06810, from 3:00-5:00pm on Sunday July 31, 2016. A mass of Christian burial will take place Monday August 1, 2016 at 10:30am in Peter’s Church, 104 Main Street Danbury, CT 06810with burial to immediately follow at St. Peter’s cemetery Lake Avenue extension Danbury, CT. in lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Red Cross or to a charity of ones choice.
