

Edith was born February 3, 1917 in Danbury, the youngest daughter of the late Oreste M. and Mary R. (Caprio) Clerici. She was a graduate of local schools and had been employed as an inspector with the Davis and Geck Division of American Cyanamid Co. for over 25 years until the time of her retirement.
Edith was a devout Roman Catholic with a special ardor for the Blessed Virgin Mary, and possessed a passionate belief in the power of prayer. It was not uncommon for Edith to pray the rosary for relatives and friends who were ill or had a special need. Edith was a life long parishioner of Saint Peter R.C. Church, Danbury. She was a member and former officer of the Catholic War Veterans Post #1042 Ladies Auxiliary, as well as a member of the Danbury Emblem Club #48. In addition to her love for her family and friends, Edith was an enthusiastic bingo player and enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.
Edith is survived by her daughter Sandra M. Palanzo (and her significant other Raymond Flowers), her son Richard M. Palanzo (and his wife Karyn), her granddaughter Jaime Kovacs, all of Danbury, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Edith was predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Caprio and Mary “Mamie” Palanzo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 19th at Saint Peter Church, Danbury at 10:30am. Burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury on Friday from 5 thru 8 pm.
