Elizabeth "Betty" Betka Hughes, loving wife of Earle Hughes for 50 years, passed away peacefully at 97 years old on November 28, 2017. Born in Danbury on February 5, 1920, she is survived by her devoted daughters Joyce Marmorstein Buonaiuto and husband Frank of New Milford, and Sharon Marmorstein Willeford of Kona, HI. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great granchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter, her family was her most cherished treasure. Betty retired from Barden Corporation after 35 years, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church all her life.
Family will be receiving friends from 5:00pm - 7:00 pm on Friday, December 1 at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, with a prayer service beginning at 6:15pm.
