Eva Gran

Eva was born July 23, 1926 in Oslo, Norway, the daughter of the late Ragnhilde Pettersen. Eva immigrated to the United States in 1948. She lived many years in New Rochelle, NY moving to Putnam Valley, New York, and finally to Bethel CT.

Eva enjoyed cooking, knitting, and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was to have her entire family together for special occasions. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eva is survived by her son: Terje Gran and his wife Sue of New Fairfield, her daughters: Tone Smyth and her husband James of Carmel, NY; Irene Fazio and her husband Paul of Danbury, and Susan Brugger and her husband Robert of Wappinger Falls, NY, five grandchildren: Erik Gran, Kristopher Barton, Michael Fazio, Melissa Fazio McGuckin, and LoriAnn Brugger, 6 great-grandchildren: Erik T, Jacob, Matthew, Isaac, and Bethany Gran, and Alex Barton. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her grandson Peter Gran.

The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Saturday January 31st. from 10-11:30 am, with services to be held @ Green Funeral Home and internment to follow immediately at the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
