

Frank Randall, of Brookfield, CT, died in the presence of his loving family at Danbury Hospital on January 7, 2012. Frank is survived by his wife Barbara Berry Randall, his sister Barbara Randall Dougherty and her husband James of Bronxville, NY, his brother George and his wife Mary of Brookfield, CT, and his aunt Maureen McGuire and cousins Mary and Michael McGuire of Brookfield. Frank was also survived by his nephews James Dougherty, Robert Dougherty, Timothy Randall, niece Mary Kate Randall, grandnephews Connor and Aidan Dougherty, nephews John and Daniel Berry, Nicholas and Jeremy Papazoglou, niece Andrea Papazoglou, grandniece Alissa Berry, and grandnephew Victor Berry. Frank was predeceased by his parents George and Mary (McGuire) Randall of Brooklyn, NY and uncle Hugh McGuire of Brookfield CT. Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 7, 1945, and as a child lived for several years in Danbury, CT and attended St. Peter’s school. He graduated from St. Michael’s school, Brooklyn Academy High School, and St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY. Frank was a highly decorated New York City Police Officer. He was a member of NYPD youth gang intelligence division and Brooklyn South Task Force. Frank’s dedication to duty was outstanding; he always wanted to protect people from “the bad guys.” After retiring from the NYPD, Frank worked for the Calvin Klein Company and retired as Vice President in charge of Corporate Security. Frank had many interests. He especially loved entertaining friends and family, and many were fortunate to have experienced his wonderful cooking. He enjoyed traveling, especially to California wine country and Las Vegas, and was a devoted Mets fan. Frank was also an avid and knowledgeable history buff, with a special interest in Irish history. He was very proud of his Irish ancestry and was a member of the NYPD Emerald Society and a member of Division 12 of the Kings County Ancient Order of Hibernians. Frank loved all things Irish, with a special love for Irish music. He had a real Irish wit and a great sense of humor. Frank was truly the family patriarch and deeply loved his family. He was very caring and generous and will be sorely and deeply missed by friends and family. St. Michael, the patron saint of police officers, is now in good company.
