He was peacefully welcomed home into God’s embrace after a long illness. Frederick was the beloved husband and best friend to Dorothea (Dot) Roise-Lodsin.
Fred was born in Staten Island, NY. He was the son of the late Frederick and Fay Elizabeth Lodsin. Fred graduated from Curtis Carter High School in New York.
Frederick served as a radio corpsman with the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Little Rock 1960-1962.
Fred enjoyed the company of his friends, both four footed and furry as well as human. Fred liked to relax by fishing in local lakes and Long Island Sound. He was liked by all who knew him, for his kind heart and funny stories.
In addition to his wife of 29 years, survivors include Fred’s sons: Frederick Thomas Lodsin of Del Rio, Tennessee; and Robert Lodsin of Tavares, Florida. His cousin, Elsie Owens of North Charleston, South Carolina; and his aunt, Diana Amsbaugh of Vienna, Virginia.
Funeral Services will be private.
