Gertrude I Williams Chesto

Gertrude I Chesto, a lifetime resident of Danbury died August 16, 2011 at Danbury Hospital. She was 82. Gertrude was born November 21, 1928 in Danbury, the daughter of the late James H. Williams Jr. and Phoebe (Palmatier) Williams.

She was a Nurse at Danbury Hospital, who later went into private practice. She enjoyed needle point and dedicated her life to nursing and helping others, she was a warm and caring person who loved spending time with family. She is survived by husband Joseph Chesto of Brookfield,one son Patrick Chesto and his wife Deborah, one daughter Jo-Ann Almeida and her husband Edward of Naugatuck, one sister Audrey Dinho of Brookfield, one brother Roger Williams of CA, also survived by three grandchildren Candice Chesto, and Elijah and Ariel Ligowski and two great grandchildren Aleska and Kylin. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters Richard, Franklyn, Robert, and James Williams, Louis Shania, Marvel Mae Fuller, Muriel Hodgman, Marian Houghtaling, Linda Cisowski.
