She was the daughter of John and Josephine Lauricella and is predeceased by her siblings: Raymond, Tommy, John, June, and Eleanor.
Gloria was born in Yonkers, N.Y. and was raised in Riverdale, NY. After graduating from high school, she and her husband, Archie, raised their family in North Tarrytown, NY and later moved to Danbury. Gloria was a bookkeeper at Readers’ Digest and Valid Electric.
Gloria had a huge heart! She watched her friends’ children and always had a bed in her house for family in need. Everyone flocked to her table for her masterful Italian cuisine. She shared what she had with compassion and grace. Traveling with Archie and his WW11 Veteran group was a joyous part of retirement.
Family and friends were blessed to be part of Gloria’s life! She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Gloria is joining her husband, Archie, of 67 years.
She will be missed by her daughter, Cynthia Jugler, son in law Brian Jugler; son George McLarty; grandchildren, Jason McLarty, Katherine Jugler, Brad Jugler, Brad’s wife Jess Jugler and great grandchildren Natalie and Grant.
She is predeceased by her daughter in law, Karen McLarty and grandson Ryan McLarty.
The family will be forever grateful to the staff at Brookfield Common, especially the RNAs, Nurses, and Activity directors. They are kind, loving individuals who console, converse, assist, and treat the residents just like family.
