H. Louis Bothwell

Louis was born in Killashandra, County Cavan, Ireland on April 3, 1938. He was the son of the late Robert Bothwell & Maud (Telford) Bothwell. In 1955, Louis immigrated from Ireland to Darien, CT. There he started his own business as a building contractor, but his main passion was the dairy business. He purchased his first farm in Copake, NY, later buying a farm in Millerton, NY where unforgettable memories were made with family and friends.

Louis is survived by many people who loved him and he will be greatly missed. His wife Lillian (Crawford) Bothwell, his daughter, Sharon B. Willis of Brookfield, CT, his grandchildren: David (Brianna) of Brookfield; Courtney of North Haven; John “Jack” Willis of Brookfield; and, Alexandra Willis and his great granddaughter, Lillian Harpur, both of Brookeborough, Northern Ireland. Louis loved his Lord and Savior and has gone to be with his son, Stephen Louis Bothwell, whom he deeply missed. He is also survived by seven brothers and one sister: Victor, Cecil and Wilfred Bothwell of Ireland; Edwin Bothwell of England; Ernest Bothwell of New Canaan; Ruth Riedel and Gerald Bothwell of Darien; and, Herbert Bothwell of Norwalk as well as in-laws, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Iris Brown and brother, Reginald Bothwell.
