Henry, also known as Hank went to sleep in Jesus with a strong faith in his resurrection and future heavenly home. Hank was loved by all, took time to listen to anyone that needed a friend, always helped others in any way he could. His wisdom and deep concern endeared him to everyone he knew. Hank always made people smile with his jokes and his love.
He was an Engineer at Perkin Elmer where he led the design of the high-tech lenses for military air crafts used in the Vietnam War. With these devices, many American lives were saved during the war. Hank was also a contracted Professional Mechanical Project and Design Engineer for much of his professional career. His specialty was Optics and worked on many extensive projects, one being the Hubble Space Telescope. Hank was an encouraging and patient teacher/tutor to help college students achieve their engineering and math goals.
Besides his wife, Hank is survived by their 6 children: Chris Cubberly, Kathleen Lloyd, Annamarie Faubel, Norann Cubberly, Charles Henry Cubberly and David Cubberly. Henry and Nora have been very blessed with 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Hank was a very loving and generous person. He is known for every time you said good bye to him, he would say "Stay close to Jesus" He led a very full, happy and long life and he thanked God every day for his blessings.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury from 4pm-6pm and at 6pm we will have a wonderful time of sharing our most cherished memories of our precious Hank.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Ridgefield, CT. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Henry Cubberly’s memory to bring hope and healing from the opiate crises affecting our nation to the Christian Counseling Center of Greater Danbury, 2 Old New Milford Rd., Suite 2A, Brookfield, CT 06804.
