

Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on March 5, 1933 to Simeon Cruz and Dominga Vazquez, Mimi was one of 19 children.
Mimi is survived by four children Victor, Gloria, Elizabeth, Raymond, who will never forget the love and impact she brought to their lives. She was preceded in death by her son Miguel Angel Vazquez . Mimi is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great grandkids, and two great great grandkids.
Up until the end, Mimi maintained her sweetness and kindness. Mimi lived a life filled with faith and love for others. Mimi loved being surrounded by friends and family.
Mimi‘s focus was her family, faith and helping others. She enjoyed 1000 piece puzzles, crocheting, which she mastered, music, sewing, gardening, cooking traditional dishes, reading and getting to know others.
Mimi will be remembered for her positive attitude, warmth, generosity, strength, creativity, beautiful smile and striking eyes. Mimi made everyone feel welcomed and loved. She offered wise advice, and told captivating stories of her life experiences and childhood.
A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 12 pm at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury, CT.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name is appreciated.
