Irene J. Renda

Irene J. Renda, 83, of Bethel, formerly of Danbury, loving mother and grandmother and beloved wife of the late Louis J. Renda, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital, on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Irene was born in Danbury, daughter of the late George and Anna (Koske) Dzamko. She graduated from Danbury High School and had worked for the Barden Corporation for more than 30 years, prior to retirement. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

She is survived by her son Joseph T. Renda and wife Nancy of Bethel and her daughter Kathy L. Renda of Danbury, three sisters: Margaret Thorne of Stratford, formerly of Danbury, Veronica Malesky of Trumbull and Dolores McGee of Saratoga Springs, NY, her grandchildren: Jessica Trichilo and husband Enzo, Justin Renda and wife Vicki, Joseph Renda and Michael Renda and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Robert and daughter Karen, her sisters Ann Culley and Mary Emr and brothers George and Thomas Dzamko.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, on Monday, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
