

James M. (Slim) Arno, 50, of Kent, CT. Passed away, Friday, May, 22, 2015, at his home following a short illness, his beloved wife of 28 years, Alisa (Pierce) Arno and his loyal dog Bear at his side. James was born in Sharon, CT, son of the late David and Mary (Garseau) Arno; also predeceased by his brothers: Dennis and David Dean Arno. He attended Housatonic Valley Regional High School. He had a lifelong love for farming; spending most of his life as a dairy farmer, and the latter years of his career as a carpenter, subcontracted by T&S Builders of Kent, CT. He was known as a hard worker. A man who could fix anything. One with a heart of gold he cherished his family, friends and the outdoors.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Jesse Arno of Condon, MT, his daughters: Elizabeth, Sarah and Anna Arno all of Kent, four grandchildren; Coltin and Logan Thibodeau, Sophia Gladding and Bristol Arno, his brother John Arno of Kent and sister Denise Arno-Rudenko of Hartford, NY, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
