Janet M. Dearth

Janet was born July 18, 1946 in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret ( Sperduti ) Mitola. She was a graduate of Shelton High School , and the Kaynor Technical School, Waterbury where she studied to be a Licensed Practical Nurse. Most recently, Janet was employed as an LPN at the Bethel Healthcare Center until the time of her illness. She was a member of the Grace Family Church, Newtown where she was active in bible study programs. Janet enjoyed both boating and fishing in her spare time.

Janet is survived by her two sons: Robert Dearth III of San Francisco, Ca and Michael Dearth and his wife Annett of Auckland, New Zealand, two daughters: Margaret Jamieson and her husband Jim of Branford, and Rebecca Migiano and her husband Marc of Watertown, one brother: Ronald Mitola of Meriden, six grandchildren: Ezra and Lucia Dearth, Drew and Emma Jamieson, Madison and Noah Migiano, one niece: Stephanie Mitola, and her dear friend Carol Kaliff of Danbury.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday December 17th at the Grace Family Church, Mount Pleasant Road, Newtown at 12 noon. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Watertown. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday morning from 11am until the time of the service at 12 noon. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to the Yale Cancer Center Closer to Free Fund, P.O. Box 7611, New Haven, CT 06519-0611. The Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
