Jeanne F. Moran of Danbury, CT died February 9, 2013 at the Bethel Health Care Center, she was 83. Jeanne was born April 2, 1929 in New York City the daughter of the late John and Jessie Mae Van Elk. She was a longtime secretary at the United Methodist Church in Maspeth, NY forming many children programs and most recently was the financial secretary at the United Methodist Church in Danbury until her illness.
She is survived by her sister Gloria Thorn of Danbury, one nephew Wesley Thorn of Danbury and one niece Elaine Thorn of Las Vegas also survived by one sister in law June Van Elk. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Robert Moran.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013, 11 00 am at the United Methodist Church in Danbury, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in private at the request of the family. The family would like contributions to be made to The United Methodist Church, 5 Clapboard Ridge Rd., Danbury, CT 06811.
