Joan A. Sorgen

Joan A. Sorgen, 80, of Sun City Center, FL, formerly of Monroe, CT, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at Regional Hospice in Danbury with her family at her side. Born in Fall River, MA to the late Arthur and Marie Dionne Pepin, she was a longtime Monroe resident until moving to Florida in the mid 1980’s. A wonderful cook, Joan enjoyed entertaining and loved dogs.

In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her sisters: Suzanne McAuley and Jacqueline Pepin. Joan is survived by her children, Susan Larkin of New York City, Sandra Larkin of Reading, MA, William Larkin of Ft. Myers, FL and Timothy Larkin of Newtown, CT, as well as her brothers: Arthur Pepin of Iva, SC and Ronald Pepin of Trumbull. She also leaves six grandchildren: Kathryn Rotella, Margaret Rotella, Benjamin Krowitz, Natalie Krowitz, Ryan Larkin and Erin Larkin.

Funeral Services will be conducted 10am on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown, CT. Friends will be received from 9am-10am on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 at the funeral home.
