Joanne Theresa Heslin

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Kevin, as well as her three (3) children who she showered with love every day of their lives: Holly Grant (Richard), Kevin Heslin (Kristine) and Kelli Ferguson (Keith). She also leaves behind her sister, Marie Esposito and several nephews.

Her 5 grandchildren were the love of her life and they will all miss their Mema deeply. They are: Lucy Grant. Katelyn and Colton Heslin and Samantha and Emma Ferguson.

Joanne was born in New Rochelle, NY and moved with her husband to make their home in Brookfield, CT. When her children were grown, she returned to school and received her Associates Degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She made a career as a Recreation Director at Hancock Hall for over 25 years when she retired in June 2009 to spend more time with her newest grandchildren. She loved her elderly residents as if they were her own family, and missed all of them as well as all of her dear friends that she had made over the years.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 24th, 2013 at Green Funeral Home, located at 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 am at St. Joseph's Church, in Brookfield CT. Cremation will be private.
