Jose P. Coelho, 65, of New Milford, CT, formerly of Danbury, died peacefully on Dec. 25, 2011. He was the husband of Felicidade Urbano Coelho. Mr. Coelho was born on Nov. 6, 1946 in Vila Ruiva, Portugal, a son of the late Horacio and Ana Maria Perriera Coelho. He immigrated to the United States in 1975. He was a retired longtime employee of Danbury Hospital. Mr. Coelho was a member of the Portuguese Cultural Center in Danbury and an avid soccer fan.
Besides his wife, survivors include one son: Joseph and his wife, Christina, of Woodbury. One daughter: Theresa Coelho of Danbury. Three grandchildren: Delia and Adrienne Coelho and Ciara Taylor. One sister: Maria A. Coelho of Woodbury also survives.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements by the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
