Born in Hazelton, PA, March 1, 1935 to the late Joseph F. & Mary (Nester) Prusak of Beaver Meadows, PA. Joe was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy of 21 years. He is survived by his daughters Lynne Hylton of Danbury and Laura O’Brien of Watertown, CT. Joe is also survived by his grandchildren Erin Hylton, Keri Landroche, Tyler Brice, Courtney and Alexa O’Brien. Joe is also survived by his step-sons David (Anne) Lawlor of Woodbury, CT, William (Bernice) Lawlor of Millville, NJ, Matthew (Audry) Lawlor of Danbury and Tom (Jennifer) Lawlor of Bethel, CT. Surviving Joe’s passing are many step grandchildren: Bryce, Brynn, Elizabeth, Sean and Emily Todd. Joe’s sister Annette Rusnock still resides in Beaver Meadow, PA. Her Children Tony, Andrea and Annette also live in the Beaver Meadow, PA area.
Joe received his BSME from Bridgeport Engineering Institute (now part of Fairfield University) and his MSME from the University of Bridgeport. In addition to the engineering degrees, Joe also held an MBA from the University of Connecticut. Having spent over 43 years in engineering and managerial positions, he was particularly proud of the huge contributions he made to the Hexagon Satellite Program and the Hubbell Space Telescope while at Perkin Elmer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am, Wednesday March 28th at Saint Peter Church, Danbury. Burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Tuesday, March 27th from 5pm thru 8pm.
