On the 1st day of November 2016, Judee lost her five-year battle with ovarian cancer and passed away by the side of her beloved family and friends. Judee just celebrated her 60th birthday. She was born at Danbury Hospital, on October 9, 1956. She was the third child of Mary (Czajka) and Stanley Jasinski. Judee grew up in Danbury, CT and attended Sacred Heart School and Danbury High School where she graduated in 1974. She later received a Bachelor of Science in MIS from Western Connecticut State University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Connecticut. Judee had a long-lived successful career in finance at Union Carbide and Praxair until she retired in 2012.
Judee was a very kind, loving, and giving woman. She was a devout Catholic and a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church in Danbury. Judee was also active in several other churches in the area. Her faith and love for the Catholic Church and the Blessed Mother really shaped the person she was and the life that she lived. She loved her family, friends, Christmas, sunsets, vacationing, and the beach. Judee saw the good in the world and in all people, as well as, the beauty in all the little things in life. If she loved you, there was absolutely nothing she would not do to help you. She always said, and truly believed that,
“love is the only thing that really matters.”
In 1978, Judee married the love of her life, Fred Thomas, in Miami, FL. Tragically, she lost him just three short years later, due to an automobile accident and never remarried. She is predeceased by her mother, Mary C. Jasinski. She is survived by her father, Stanley R. Jasinski; her sister, Sandra (Jasinski) Ahrstrom; her brothers, Michael (and wife Patricia) Jasinski, and Robert Jasinski; her two nieces, Heather and Haley Ahrstrom; two nephews, Michael (and wife Jennifer) and Jason (and wife Grace) Jasinski; her five great nephews, Trevon Ahrstrom, Michael, Tyler, Evan, and Bruen Jasinski; and her great-niece,
Jordan Rose Jasinski. She is also survived by her 100 year old great-uncle Matt Czajka, whom she helped to care for until she was no longer able to.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, November 6th from 4pm to 7pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT. The memorial service will be held on Monday, November 7th at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church, 12 Cottage Street, Danbury, CT, followed by a burial at Wooster Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Fred.
Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Regional Hospice, 30 Milestone Rd., Danbury, CT 06810 or Sacred Heart Church, 12 Cottage St., Danbury, CT 06810.
