Kathryn A. Alward

Kathryn was born May 1, 1932 in Erie, PA. She was a resident of New Fairfield, CT for 30 years and the past 11 years a resident of Southbury, CT. Kathryn was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Edwin of 61 years and her four children: Gretchen Garde and husband John of New Fairfield, CT, Leslie Churchill and husband Dan of New Fairfield, CT, Tracy Wright and husband Steve of Southington, CT, and Christopher Alward and wife Karen of Sherman, CT. Kathryn is also survived by her grandchildren Taylor and Devin Alward, April Churchill, Lindsay Garde, Kristen and Jay Grasso, Nick and Brett Wright and her 3 great grandchildren Ryder Garde, Sydney Grasso, and Logan Wright.

The family wishes to thank Joan Ellen, APRN, Western, CT medical group, Pat, RN, Seasons Hospice, Debra, care giver, Companion and Homemakers. A special thank you to the Angels at the Hearth Keep Sake Village in Southbury, CT. For the love, compassion, and care, the family will be forever grateful.

The funeral service will be private under the direction of the Green Funeral Home in Danbury, CT. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
