Kenneth Robert Murray, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 18, 2023, at his apartment in Danbury. He was the son of Robert Murray (deceased) and Nadia Conde and was the brother of Tery Bodnar and Nadine Cortese. He is survived by his nieces, nephews, aunts and an uncle, who he enjoyed being with when he had the opportunity.
Ken grew up in New Fairfield and attended Abbott Tech. He was an excellent carpenter and worked for many years on various projects throughout the Danbury area. He enjoyed listening to music which included his favorites: the Allman Brothers, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and most recently The Black Keys. His love for music was only matched by his love for motorcycles, in particular, his Harley Davidson.
The things his family and friends loved most about him were his sense of humor, his knack for remembering details about people, places and events, and his love for veterans. He was honored to help with improvements on one of the local veterans’ halls.
Friends and family will be received from 10:00am - 12:00pm on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00pm on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
