Kirsten “Bonnie” Starks-Stuart was born in Danbury Connecticut to Gloria Starks and the late Lenoris Starks Sr. on August 24th 1964. A lifelong Danbury resident, Bonnie graduated from Danbury High School in 1983. She was a member of Trinity Christian Tabernacle Church where she served on the praise team.
Survived by her husband Ryan Stuart, her children Care Starks, Laurence Callands, and Schuylor Chatman, her siblings Barbara Harris, Caroline Blackwell, Lenoris Starks Jr, Dawn Anderson, Jeffrey Lockhart, Angela Perkins, and Shawn Michael Shelly, her grandson Xavier Allen, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
To know Bonnie was to love her. She had the spirit of a warrior. Her smile was so bright that plants in the room would bend in her direction. Her heart was as vast as the Grand Canyon and she loved others truly, genuinely, and deeply. She strived in perfection as a mother, daughter, sister, and friend. This also extended to her bagging groceries at Pathmark and later managing group homes for the Connecticut Institute for the Blind. That love extended to her staff, her clients, their families, and the many nurses and doctors that she came across over the years.
Miracle after miracle were a testament of God’s mercy, grace, and power. There were so many times where medical professionals said it was not them but God’s will that were keeping her alive. We find comfort in knowing that she no longer has to fight and can finally rest.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Trinity Christian Tabernacle Church, 91 Elm St., Danbury, CT. Burial will immediately follow at the Wooster Cemetery, 20 Ellsworth Ave., Danbury, CT.
