Margaret Mary Doyen

Margaret “Margie” Mary Doyen was born September 28, 1925 and was a resident of New Fairfield, CT. Marge passed away at the age of 94 on January 28, 2020 in the presence of her beloved husband Peter and daughters Debbie and Cari. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Bay Ridge High School. She was very active in St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in New Fairfield.

She was one of 4 children born to the late Caroline Morrison and was the beloved wife of Peter Doyen for over 69 years. Margie is preceded in death by her loving son Peter Doyen, Jr. and sisters Helen and Irene, and brother James. Margie will forever be remembered by her cherished daughters Deborah “Debbie” Hagood (William) and Caroline “Cari” Weizenecker (Robert), daughter-in-law Denise Doyen, and her six adoring grandchildren – William, Jr., Amanda, Mallory, Blair, Christopher, and Abigail. She will be missed by her many beloved nieces, nephews, along with countless other friends and family members whom were blessed to know her. Margie loved her family, sewing group, old movies, dancing and the Lord.

Margie touched the lives of many people with her gentle smile and welcoming personality. Friends and family were invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 4-8pm Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT 06810 and a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 10:30am at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 21 Brush Hill Road, New Fairfield, CT 06812. Burial was in the Mountainview Cemetery, New Fairfield.
