
Margaret F. Manning, 73, of Brookfield, CT passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012, at her home with her family at her side. She was the wife of James J. Manning, Sr. Born in Plainfield, NJ on March 7, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Sallie (Higgins) Fayden.
She attended Columbia University as well as Hunter College. Margaret will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, and aunt, devoted grandmother and loving friend. Besides her husband, survivors include her two daughters: Patricia A. Lennon and her husband, Matthew, of Danbury, CT and Mary Elizabeth Oborski and her husband, Pavlo, of Alexandria, VA. Her son: James J. Manning, Jr. and his wife, Sonya, of Somerville, MA. Her niece: Ann Marie Martelli and her husband, Anthony, of Yonkers, NY. Her grandchildren: Matthew Lennon, Jr., Katherine Lennon and Lucas Oborski. Her sister: Mary Irene Maddocks of Bronx, NY. Her great-niece: Laura Ryan and her husband, Joseph, of Yonkers, NY as well as a large loving extended family including many close friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 30th at 10am at St. Joseph’s Church, Brookfield, CT. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
