Margaret F. Spellman

Peggy Spellman was a woman devoted to her faith, family, and teaching. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Peggy lived happily at her home on Candlewood Lake for the past 18 years.

She graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel in 1951 and later attended the Good Counsel College. She went on to Manhattanville College where she received two Master Degrees in education. Peggy was a teacher in the White Plains school district for 30 years.

Peggy is predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin J. Spellman, Jr. (Marty); her son, Stephen M. Spellman; and her daughter, Deborah A. Spellman Condon.

She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Spellman of Brookfield, CT. Her two granddaughters: Caitlin and Mattie Condon. Her two grandsons: Conner Spellman and Jack Condon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Edward Church, New Fairfield, CT with the Rev. Jeffrey Couture, officiating.

Interment will be at on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, White Plains, NY.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
