Maria Emilia Silva

Maria was born June 28, 1939 in the Azores, Portugal, the daughter of the late Ernesto and Antoinette (Melo) DeLima. A resident of Danbury for 30 years, she was employed by Heli-Coil of Danbury for many years, and was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Danbury.

Maria is survived by her children: Carlos DeSousa and his wife Lisa of Guilderland, NY, Mary Quintal and her husband Joe of Oakville, Ontario, Edmund DeSousa of Slingerland, NY, Brenda Silva of Danbury, Antonio Silva Jr. and his wife Kathy of Danbury, and David Silva and his wife Amber of Gloucester, VA, three brothers: Daniel DeLima of Kissimmee, FL, Joe DeLima of Albany, NY, Miquel DeLima of Guilderland, NY, two sisters: Manuela Camelo of Schenectady, NY, Noemia Silva of Plymouth, MA, her sister in law: Ilda Costa and her husband Everisto of Danbury, nine grandchildren: Linda, Vanessa, Anthony, Eric, Shawn, Anthony, Alexander, Christina, and Brianna, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Maria was predeceased by her daughter Christina Silva, and her sister Leona DeFrias.
