

Born in Danbury on October 8, 1926, he was a son of the late Frank C., and Mary E. Stavola Ross. He attended St. Joseph School in Danbury and was a lifelong member of the Danbury community.
Mickey owned and operated an industrial catering service overseeing many businesses throughout the Greater Danbury Area. He retired from the food service industry in 1977 but never lost his passion and love of cooking.
Mickey was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church in Danbury as well as a member of the Catholic War Veterans and American Legion. Mickey was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He cherished the moments he had with his grandchildren and would never miss an opportunity to let it be known. He looked forward to family gatherings and any time he could spend with his loved ones on holidays and throughout the year.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Joseph and John, and two sisters, Florence Ross and Cecelia Colombatto.
Besides his wife, survivors include his daughter and two sons: Michael F. Ross Jr. and his partner, Jana, of California. Cathleen A. Horn and her partner, Rey, of Danbury. Stephen A. Ross and his wife, Jill, of New Milford. His 6 Grandchildren: Jackie Ross, Jason, Michael and Joseph Champagne, Brittany and Chelsea Ross. His two Great Grandchildren: Aiden and Owen Champagne. His Brother: Frank C. Ross Jr. His sisters: Rose Marie Ross and Rita Finaldi. His sister in-law: Betty Jane Ross. Survivors also include many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at 10am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bethel. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made in Mickey’s name to St. Joseph Parish, 8 Robinson Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810.
