Nettie A. Woods, age 88 formerly of Danbury passed away on Friday Sept 23rd at the Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Amos L. Woods. Nettie was born January 24, 1923 in Danbury, the daughter of the late Ernest and Florence Tilford. Nettie retired from the HeliCoil Corp., Danbury. She was an avid bingo player.
Nettie is survived by a daughter, Gail F. Garron and her son in law Jim of Bethel, a son Kevin E. Woods and her daughter in law Sue of Danbury, eleven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Floran Labranche of New Hampshire, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside committal will take place on Thursday Sept 29th at 10 am at the Bethel Center Cemetery, South Street, Bethel.
Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury on Wednesday Sept 28th from 5 to 8pm with a prayer service to take place at 7:30pm.
