Nick meant something to everyone that knew him. He was a beloved son, a little brother, a fun uncle, a creative spirit and above all, a gentle soul who was a steward and protector of all animals.
Nick was born on November 2, 1980 and was the son of Marcia Larsen and Lewis Larsen on November 2, 1980 in Flemington, New Jersey. He grew up in Brookfield, Connecticut and after graduating from Brookfield High School he went off to earn his Recording Engineering degree from Musician's Institute in Hollywood, California.
Nick was a quintessential artist in every aspect of his life. He created visually stunning images and digital art; he captured the beauty of nature through the lens of his camera; he wrote poetry and music and was a self-taught musician that loved the craft of creating sound.
Nick fostered his artistry by being a humble student of life always seeking to learn more, and develop greater and deeper understandings of the things that he was passionate about. Nick studied Tae-Kwon-Do and was a black belt by the age of 12. Reading and books were not only a passion, but a way of life for Nick to learn and understand the nuances of a particular subject. His breadth of knowledge in seemingly every subject made him a master of conversation. He was able to engage everyone easily and make them feel comfortable.
Nick was also an adventurer, and was down for just about anything at any time and was able to share his exploits by telling a story that would have everyone hanging on his every last word.
Nick will be missed deeply by Marcia and Jon, his sister Nina, brother Eric, and his niece Netta, along with every person that was able to enjoy his gentle spirit and kind soul but remembered for the wonderful things he helped us to see and notice in the world around us.
We love you Nicky.
