HODSON, Robert Gardner., Jan. 17, 2021, longtime resident of Danbury, Redding, and Southbury. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Sturdevant). Son of the late Frank and Agnes (Geoghegan). Devoted father of Linda and her husband Karl Noffke of Bolivia, NC, Ronald and his wife Linda of Citrus Heights, CA, Randall and his wife Lee Anne of Hopkinton, MA and the late Raymond of Chester, VA. Beloved grandfather of Adam, Sarah, Amanda, Robert, Cory and Addy. Great grandfather of Noah. Brother of Dorothy Vining, Annette Lynch, Ernest Hodson and Adele Johnson. Dear friend of Frank Hamilton , Marcel Grenier and Inge Noffke.

Born in Detroit, MI., Bob was well known for the more than 300 homes he built in the Danbury area during his lifetime, as well as his career as a realtor. He was most proud of his service to his country during WWII with the US Navy on the USS LST 1096. He traversed the country and the world with a quick wit, a zealous sense of duty and an abiding love for his family – those related by blood and beyond.

The family invites you to celebrate his life on Friday, January 22 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. EST for a virtual celebration of life and reception. On Saturday, January 23 at 3:00 p.m. EST, you are invited to a virtual Memorial Mass celebrated by Rev. Michael Hennessey, C.S.P., from the Cathedral of St. Andrew, Grand Rapids, MI.
