Robert T. Speight Sr.

Bob was born in New York City, son of the late Thomas and Margaret Ann (Fledderman) Speight. He attended New York schools and graduated from Brooklyn Tech and Michigan State University and had served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He had worked for more than thirty years for the Cheesebrough Ponds Company, where he retired as a Vice-President of manufacturing.

In addition to his wife Eileen, he is survived by four children: Robert T. Speight, Jr. of Bethel, Christine E. Speight of Bridgeport, Scott S. Speight of Somers and Heather H. Speight of Oxford, as well as four grandchildren: Robert T. Speight, III, Alexander M. Speight, Cassandra J. Speight and Sheridan E. Speight.

There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private. Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
