Roque S. Vallejo

Roque S. Vallejo, 63, of New Fairfield, beloved husband of Isabel (Munevar) Vallejo, passed away at Danbury Hospital, on Tuesday, February 7th 2012. Although his passing was unexpected, his loving family was by his side.

Roque “Rocky” was born in Argentina, son of Julia “Chela” Raverta and the late Sergio Vallejo. He attended schools in Argentina and immigrated to the United States. On July 20, 1971 he married Isabel Munevar with whom he shared 41 years of unconditional love.

Rocky was a proud family man who spent every moment of his life sharing his joy of being a husband, father and papa. He enjoyed capturing life’s special moments in photos and videos to share with his many friends and family around the world. Whether he was working at landscaping, cooking up a feast, or just relaxing with family and friends he was the life of the party with his jokester personality and vivacious storytelling. He also was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his wife Isabel, he is survived by his children; Sergio Vallejo and wife Melissa Buczek Vallejo, Vanessa Vallejo and fiancé Michael Roveto and Melissa Vallejo, his beloved grandchildren; Sergio, Antonio and Santino Vallejo and Blake Roveto, as well as his brother Julio Vallejo and wife Mirta, his niece Veronica Vallejo and his nephew Erick Vallejo.

Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Saturday, February 18th 2012, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 4:15 pm
