Rosina Susan Pieroni Alling, 97, passed away on February 21, 2025 at Bethel Health Care after a fall. She was born in Fall River, MA to Josephine Barresi Pieroni and Costanti Pieroni September 25, 1927.
She worked in her family bakery then at Davis and Geck as a needler, making sutures for many years. Her last, and favorite job was working at Chocolate Lace in Bethel where she made many friends that became like family. Most of her life she was a Bethel resident and lived in Reynolds Ridge for almost 20 years on her own and not wanting it any other way. Again making friends that that became family, especially Eleanor Roche who was a Godsend to her. She loved her family and was mostly concerned about leaving her great grandchildren before they were all grown.
Rosina was pre-deceased by her parents, her sister Gloria Edward, her first born, William Alling Jr. and her beloved boxer, Missy. She leaves her son, Richard Alling from Pensacola FL, her daughters, Cheryl Pacific (Eugene) from Bethel and Darlene Lung (Rainer) from Brookfield, and daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Alling from Quaker Hill. Rosina had many grandchildren: Richard Jr (Leta), Kelly (Todd), Gina (John), Keri (Bryan), Michael (Cailin) and Jennifer (Jeff). Great grandchildren, Chassidy, Cody, Michael, Kady, Ryan, Griffin, Max, Grayson, Meredith, Harper, Sophie, Owen and many great-great-grandchildren in FL.
We could have never gotten through these last weeks without the amazing care from the entire staff at Bethel Health Care. Our angels, we thank you all.
Our mother was a strong woman and a fighter until the end. We will miss her dearly.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 9:30 AM - 11 AM with a prayer service at 11 AM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
Burial of ashes will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bethel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at stjude.org.
