Ruth V. Barrett

She was born on May 25, 1922, in Danbury to the late John and Lorena Violette and graduated from Danbury High School.

Ruth worked for many years in retail at the well-known Bargain World Department Store in Danbury, where she made such great friends. Ruth was an avid fan of NASCAR racing.

She cherished her family and was at her happiest when they were all together.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Richard Barrett (Kathy), Ron Barrett (Patty) and Janice O’Marra (Skip). Her 4 Grandchildren: Michael (Rachel), Matt, Marcie (Courtney), Tom (Morgan). Her great-grandchildren: Sweet Kinsee and precious twin boys, Luke and Cale, all the light in her heart. Ruth is also survived by her loving sister, Gerry Sipe, and her best friend, confident of 60 years, the amazing Betty Egan.

Besides her husband and parents, Ruth was predeceased by brother, Burt.

A special thank you goes to the Regional Hospice of Danbury, for their wonderful care, given to Ruth and her family that was above and beyond expectations. They are a top notch group of people.

A private ceremony will be performed at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St. Danbury, CT with burial to follow.
